MA-05 Eldridge Gains Key Endorsements
Jamie Eldridge has picked up some key endorsements this week.

Rep. Jamie Eldridge recently announced he has received the endorsement of American Federation of Government Employees Council 220, as mentioned in the Lowell Sun article on fundraising, with members working in Lowell, Lawrence, and Haverhill. This endorsement is also mentioned on Jamie’s website.
While not many more details are mentioned in that article, the endorsement is likely due to Eldridge having the strongest pro-labor legislative record in the race (100% and Special Friend of Labor status) and his positions on federal labor issues.
In addition to this recent union endorsement, Jamie has also been endorsed by several pro-labor State Representatives: Jennifer Flanagan (D- Leominster), Harold Naughton (D- Clinton), Anthony Petruccelli (D- Boston), Michael Rush (D- Boston) and Cleon Turner (D- Dennis) all have 100% pro-labor voting records in the State House, and have worked to advance pro-labor issues in the state.
Let me tell you how important a labor endorsement is. Simply stated, these people work and that is going to be key in a special election with such a compressed timeframe.
During the gubertorial campaign, I had the pleasure of working with several labor groups, and you will not find a bunch of folks who are more willing to do what it takes to win elections. They knock on doors, they phone bank, they do standouts. In fact, one of the most enjoyable standouts I did in the last election was in Leominster with Jennifer Flanagan, and crew of labor folks. I don’t think I ever laughed so much.
I’m sure those groups will be putting the same energy and focus into Jamie’s campaign.
