Your Questions for Governor Patrick
Bloggers to attend Patrick PAC kick-off.
The Deval Patrick Committee will be kicking off what the the Governor is calling “A Citizen’s Committee.” This committee will be an continuation of the grassroots organization that was put together by the campaign during the election. There is a sneak preview of the new website and what the committee hopes to accomplish at Deval Patrick TV.
This is a great idea. I know of many folks involved during the campaign who have been asking what can they do now that the election is over. It’s one thing to just tell people to get involved locally — but as we saw during the election, a lot can be accomplished, if you give people the tools to organize.
After the kick-off Governor Patrick will be meeting with bloggers for a conference where we will get a chance to ask YOUR questions, so to the three people I know who read this blog; what do you want to ask your Governor?

Ask what happened to Nancy Stolberg, the Patrick Campaign Field Director. Since his victory was based on the grassroots field efforts, shouldn’t she be part of the Administration or the newly reconstructed political committee? Why have they made her disappear?
Loyalty in politics goes along way….she was loyal to the max…was it reciprocated?

Nancy didn’t disappear. She is working in the Patrick/Murray adminstration. Her position is civil rights officer for the Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Since she is working at the statehouse it would not be appropriate for her to work on Deval’s political organization. Nancy is awesome though, and I really enjoyed working with her.
Liz Morningstar is heading up the Deval Patrick Committee. I had a chance to work with Liz during the campaign too and she is also awesome. She has some really great ideas that complement Deval’s mission of the grassroots staying involved. I think that will go far in keeping activists engaged so the organization doesn’t have to reinvent the wheel every election cycle.
Great question, though. Have any others?

Thanks for the update on Ms. Stolberg…there was word going around in January that there “was no room at the inn” for her…it’s good to hear they gave her something, even if it is in the back of the stable.
