In memoriam
Kate Donaghue brings the sad news of the passing of lolorb, a frequent contributor at Blue Mass Group, and passionate progressive activist.
I didn’t know Lori very well personally, but I would run into her here and there during Deval Patrick’s campaign for Governor in 2006. It seemed we had the furthest to drive from opposite ends of the state. Heh. One conversation in particular I remember was how much she encouraged me and some of the other coordinators from smaller, less progressive areas when we were kvetching over not making much progress in recruiting volunteers, or votes for Deval. She knew that every vote was important and that we shouldn’t get too down, but look at the big picture. She was so generous with her time and experience. Her enthusiasm for progressive politics and life in general will be greatly missed.
